Week 1: Precap

We're finally here! Week 1 of the NFL and (more importantly) the fantasy season starts Thursday.
Doing our draft relatively early in the preseason meant that we all had to watch helplessly as our players broke bones, had surgery, broke more bones, and were cut from their teams. Some of our League-mates’ darker sides came out (looking at you Jon Stern). A couple of us are starting the week 10 points up from trades. Anthony’s strategy of waiting for a quarterback paid off as he traded wide receiver Antonio Brown with Luke to get Tony Romo who can be a bit turnover prone.
Lauren mercifully traded Eddie Lacy to Miranda after Andre Brown broke his leg. This was the second time one of Miranda’s starting running backs broke leg or foot bones, and it threw her into a brief crisis. In return for Lacy, Miranda gave Lauren her tight end Tony Gonzalez.
As we move into Week 1, there are even more bonus points to be had! Vote for your favorite team name in our League, and the winner will get 50 bonus points that week. Best team name will be awarded on Saturday with the poll opening Thursday night, so have your team names set by game time Thursday at 8:30pm. Here are some tips to help you to dominate your first matchup.

To see your matchup, go to the My Team page and look to the upper right. If you click the matchup, you'll see a breakdown of your starters and their projected points vs your opponent.

To change your lineup, go to the My Team page. Click on the Projected Stats tab next to the big Week 1 button. This will show the projected points for each player. You can use this info and ESPN ranks to help you decide who to play. To move players to and from your starting lineup, click the blue BN (bench) button to the left of their name and then the corresponding player you'd like to swap.

To pick up and drop players, go to the Players tab. If you want to add a new player, click the green plus next to their name. You will then see a screen where you can choose which of your players you'd like to drop for this new player.

Each week there are three game days: Thursday, Sunday, and Monday. You can move any player in or out of your lineup until their game starts. Once they start playing, you can't move them anymore. That means you should be sure and check on who's playing in the Thursday night game so you can update your team accordingly.
